“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
    ensure justice for those being crushed.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
    and see that they get justice.”      –Proverbs 31:8-9, NLT

    The hearts of those who speak the unpopular words of justice for the oppressed, today, who refuse to be quiet, amidst the wretched noise and horrid silence, shine so beautifully. It truly is a sight to see the faces of the courageous ones and a delight to relish in their brave words. For me, it is but a minuscule reflection of Jesus, as He walked the earth – the loved, cherished, hope and healer of the outcast, and outrage to the ruling class.

    And we are so glad you’re doing that! We’re trying to get ready to do it ourselves, but with Yvonne’s cancer and some other things it will be a little while before we can. But we are remembering Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good to those that love the Lord.”

    Obviously, by “doing that” I meant “speak up,” not “remain silent.”
